This game is also very popular among players. It is recommended to learn Omaha poker rules before any player start playing this game.
Poker Omaha rules:
Each player is dealt four private cards face down and five cards are dealt on the table. All players use exactly three of the five community cards together with exactly two of their hole cards to make the best five-card poker hand. The Poker Omaha has four betting rounds that move clockwise around the table. Betting then commences from the player next to the dealer button, which moves to the left at the end of each round. In online games, the dealer button replaces the “real” dealer.
Blinds
Before the game starts two players to left of the dealer make so called blind bets, they are called blinds, because the players cannot see the cards. The blinds are made to provide the required amount in the pot at the start of the game. The first player to the left of the dealer makes the small blind, and the second player to the left of the dealer makes the big blind.
Pre-flop
The players are dealt four cards face down. The action begins to the left of the big blind, which is considered a ‘live’ bet on this round. The player has the option to fold, call or raise. Action then proceeds clockwise around the table.
Betting continues on each betting round until all active players (who have not folded) have placed equal bets in the pot.
Flop
After the first round of betting is complete, the "flop" is dealt face-up on the table. The flop is the first three community cards available to all active players. Play begins with the active player immediately clockwise from the button.
Turn
When betting action is completed for the flop round, the "turn" is dealt face-up on the board. The turn is the fourth community card in an Omaha game. Play begins with the active player immediately clockwise from the button.
River
When betting action is completed for the turn round, the "river" is dealt face-up on the table. The river is the fifth and final community card in Omaha poker. Betting begins with the active player immediately clockwise from the button.
Showdown
If there is more than one remaining player when the final betting round is complete, the last person to bet or raise shows their cards, unless there was no bet on the final round in which case the player immediately clockwise from the button shows their cards first. The player with the best five-card hand wins the pot. In the event of identical hands, the pot will be equally divided between the players with the best hands.
